Detailed description (max. 500 words)
Buildings are responsible for 40% of worldwide energy consumption and about 21% of the greenhouse gas emissions. This offers huge savings. As a consequence natural buildings with low-carbon production are necessary.

Vertical planting of buildings decreases urban pollution by absorbing subtantial gaseous substances and dust. As a result we get better air quality.

Setbacks on buildings reduces operating costs especially the energy input by direct sunlight during the summer months.

In addition plants work as a wall between the sun's rays and the facade or the shingles of the roof. The plants love rays of the sun and the building and its residents profit more comfortable indoor temperatures in this way.

Flat roofs are usable for urban farming or renewable energy via algae farms. Algae absorbs the exhaust gases from cars and industrial plants and convert it with the help of sunlight into biomass. Less carbon dioxide passes into the air and the biomass can be used for power generation or heat energy, for example, in the buildings or biogas and biodiesel for cars or industries.
